Common Issues
Cannot see meeting rooms in the list
Solution
- Google Workspace: Wait up to 72 hours after creating new calendar resources — this is a Google limitation for resource propagation
- Microsoft 365: New room resources can take up to 24-48 hours to appear in the Microsoft Graph Places API. You can enter the room email address manually in the meantime
- Microsoft 365: Room auto-discovery requires an admin to grant consent for the
Place.Read.Allpermission. Without it, enter the room email manually - For Google service accounts: verify Admin SDK Directory API is enabled and domain-wide delegation is configured
Cannot create bookings (OAuth users)
Solution
- Google: The room calendar must be shared with your account with "Make changes to events" permission
- Microsoft: Your account needs calendar write access to the room mailbox. Ask your Exchange admin to grant booking permissions
- Ask your organization's admin to share the room calendar with appropriate permissions
Authentication errors
Solution
- Google OAuth: Verify Google Calendar API is enabled in Google Cloud Console
- Google Service Account: Verify private key format, admin email, and domain-wide delegation
- Microsoft 365: Try signing out and signing in again. Ensure your admin has granted the required API permissions
- Ensure bundle identifier matches:
com.theroomdisplay.app
App displays "Invalid response" error
Solution
- Check your internet connection
- Verify the selected room calendar still exists in your organization
- Try removing and re-adding your credentials
- Ensure APIs are not rate-limited
