The Room Display ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our iOS application handles information when you use our meeting room display service.

Important: The Room Display is a fully local application. We (the developers) do not operate any servers, do not collect any data, and have no access to your information. All data stays on your device and communicates directly with Google's servers.

Information We Collect

Google Service Account Credentials

The app requires you to provide: - Service Account Email: Your Google Workspace service account email address - Private Key: The private key associated with your service account - Admin Email: A Google Workspace administrator email for domain-wide delegation

Calendar Data

The app accesses: - Meeting room calendar information - Event titles, times, and organizers - Room availability status

How Information Is Used

Local Storage Only

All credentials and settings are stored locally on your iPad device only. The app uses: - iOS Keychain: Private keys are stored securely in the iOS Keychain on your device - UserDefaults: Non-sensitive settings (emails, room IDs) are stored in UserDefaults on your device

We (the developers) never receive, transmit, store, or have access to your credentials. All data remains exclusively on your device.

Google API Communication

The app communicates directly with Google's servers to: - Authenticate using your service account - Fetch calendar resource lists - Retrieve meeting room schedules - Create calendar events for room bookings

All communication with Google APIs occurs directly from your device using HTTPS.

Data We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not collect analytics or usage data
  • We do not track your behavior or usage patterns
  • We do not use cookies or tracking technologies
  • We do not share data with third parties
  • We do not have servers or databases that store any data
  • We do not transmit your credentials or calendar data to our systems
  • We do not display advertisements
  • We do not collect personal information beyond what you explicitly provide for Google Workspace integration
  • We do not have access to your data in any way

Third-Party Services

The app uses the following Google APIs: - Google Calendar API: To read and create calendar events - Google Admin SDK Directory API: To access organizational calendar resources

Data Security

The app implements security measures to protect your information: - iOS Keychain: Private keys are stored using Apple's secure Keychain on your device - HTTPS: All network communications use encrypted HTTPS connections - No Cloud Storage: All data remains on your local device only - No Developer Access: We (the developers) have no servers, no backend, and no access to your data - Service Account Authentication: The app uses Google's secure OAuth 2.0 with JWT

Your Rights

You have the right to: - Access: View all data stored by the app in the Settings screen - Delete: Remove all stored credentials by deleting the app - Control: Configure which room calendars the app displays

Data Retention

  • Data is retained on your device until you delete the app
  • Deleting the app removes all stored credentials and settings
  • No data is retained on external servers

Children's Privacy

The Room Display is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by: - Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy - Displaying a notice in the app (for significant changes)

California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA): - Right to know what personal information is collected - Right to delete personal information - Right to opt-out of the sale of personal information (note: we do not sell personal information)
